Yes I am thrilled to have been able to read this as an ARC.
Since I happily read anything written by Tracey....I will admit I am enthralled by her genius.
This novel is part of the "Kiss Across Time" series.
Rafe, Sydney, and Alex have all been introduced before. Alex and Rafe are Vampires. Sydney is not. The three of them have been lovers for six years.
A encrypted message was found that made Sydney and Rafe jump back in time . Alex was told not to go with them.
When a jump back in time is made the jumpers are aware that they must do nothing to change history.
Alex who is a physician comes across another coded message that makes him aware he also must go back in time.
But his knowledge made him cognizant that history must be changed.
Tracey's descriptions are so vivid you feel part of the story. You do not want the novel to end, but you are anxious to see how everything is resolved.

This is another great installment in Cooper-Posey's Kiss Across Time series - usually time travelers try NOT to change history, but this time, they have to. It's a unique twist to the time traveling genre, especially the idea that a parallel timeline could exist. One has to consider the ethical dilemma of changing history - when is it okay? Is it okay to right a wrong? How bad does the wrong have to be to justify such action? Who has the right to decide?

Cooper-Posey is back to focusing on Sydney, Alex, and Rafe - but don't worry, some familiar favorites are there for the ride as well. As a historical fiction junkie, I had a blast reading this tale. It's always fun to get a glimpse of what life might have been like, centuries before. There's a little less "hot" romance than others in the series, but I assure you that the plot twists will keep you coming back for more!

I was anxiously waiting for Alex, Sydney, and Rafael to continue their story, and WOW, was it worth the wait. They must go back in time to solve a mystery in a manuscript, and change something in history. Of course some favorites, Veris, Brody, and Taylor, are there to help them. I was also happy to see how Merit played an important part in this story, and look forward to reading more about her. There is so much action and suspense that I could not put the book down. Of course there are some hot sexy times between the three main characters, and believe me it is HOT, but it does not overshadow the story of warring factions, evil Cyrus, who I know we will see more of, trying to prevent the change in history, and a final resolution, or should I say resolution for now. I can't wait until the next book to see where this story takes us, and I feel each book takes me on a trip to another time and another county, so it's like a vacation and I don't have to leave home. I received this book from the author for an honest review. Thank you Tracy for another great book, that I recommend to everyone who loves vampires, time travel, suspense, and love between the people in the story.
Let me start by saying that I've read the first two books in this series, "Kiss Across Time," and "Kiss Across Swords", and I loved them. The characters in those books appear in "Kiss Across Kingdoms", which provides a nice continuity. When I found out that I had a chance to get an ARC for "Kiss Across Kingdoms", I was really excited, so I signed up right away. So, I received a free digital copy in exchange for a review, which I'm happy to do, since I already purchased and enjoyed books 1 and 2.

This is book 5, and I wish I'd read the books in between before I dove into this one, but I will say that it's not 100% necessary to read them all to enjoy this one. I felt I had sufficient understanding of the world and the physics of it to enjoy the book. However, I definitely want to go back and purchase at least book #4, which I believe focuses more on the characters in this book and how they met. I think that would have given me a richer connection with them. I think I'll get much more out of it if I'd read #4 then reread Kingdoms.

With that said, I absolutely LOVE novels which are set in historic time periods. Not just ones where authors set characters in say, ancient Rome, and stuff happens. I mean I nerd-girl it up when an author takes the time to learn about the actual society, language, roles of men vs. women, politics, clothing... all that. I love it even more when it's a time period and place somewhere in the British Isles, and especially if there's any type of connection to Arthurian legend. Considering the fact that this book is set in early 10th century Wales, AND pays great detail to the time period, well... Sociology Nerdgasm, right there.

On top of that gorgeous pile of awesome is really excellent writing, and mind-bending, sci-fi-style time travel conundrums - who doesn't love that? And the three main characters resonate. They have history (OK, bad joke?) with each other, and it shows, even without reading the previous book. There's an overarching plot that I love, too (which I won't discuss, because I despise spoilers). I love Sydney, the heroine. She's practical, smart, doesn't panic, and can kick serious ass when necessary. She can think on her feet and make smart decisions on the fly. This is the girl I want by my side when something bad goes down.

The interesting idea of changing time (should we, or shouldn't we? What is right? What is the Greater Good, and how do you know? Do you, as an individual, even have the right to make that call?), the loving historic details, the dash of serious heat, and the deft approach to character creation make this a really fascinating series for me. I'm definitely going to fill in the gaps in my collect as soon as I scrape together all my pocket change. Because these books are totally worth it. Another story by Miss Cooper-Posey that I simply could not put down until the end. I loved her Sci-Fi books, ("Faring Soul" and "Varkan Rise") and I'm discovering that I love her Paranormal books, too. Like her Sci-Fi, there's aspects about the Kiss books that worm their way into my mind, and make me think big thoughts, without hitting me over the head with them. Genius.

Tracey Cooper-Posey is definitely an author to watch, because she's talented and versatile.

Note If you've read the book description, you're probably not bothered, but do be warned that there is sexual content in this and the other Kiss books, involving 2 men and 1 woman. However, it's not the central theme of the story, and I felt that it sort of took a backseat to the plot and the action, while being a main point of why things happen/work the way they do in the book's Universe. Very deftly done.
